The Best Life Coach in Edinburgh!

You'll never guess what landed in my inbox the other day – an email proclaiming yours truly as the top-ranked life coach in Edinburgh for the past year!

So, after a bit of digging to make sure this wasn't some sort of scam (spoiler alert: it wasn't), I discovered that the Quality Business Awards is actually a pretty clever setup. They scour the internet, find businesses with the best (and the most) google reviews, and then hand out awards.

They let you use their snazzy logo for free, but if you want a fancy certificate or trophy to show off, you've gotta pay up.  It's like they've figured out how to make money by doing the bare minimum. I mean, I respect the hustle and the genius business model, but it does make me chuckle a bit.

Anyway, I'm flattered that my hard work has been noticed, even if it is by an organisation that's basically found a way to monetize other people's success.  I suppose as long as they keep recognising legitimate businesses, it's not the worst thing in the world. Plus, who doesn't love a good trophy?

But let's rewind for a moment and talk about the journey that led me here. Making the leap from the stability of a salaried role in an organisation I'd spent 10 years building, to the uncertainty of self-employment was one of the most terrifying decisions I've ever made.  It felt like standing on the edge of a cliff, knowing I had to jump to get to where I wanted to be, while being acutely aware of the rocks below and that I might not make it.

However, I was desperate to marry my natural gifts with a career that would allow me to impact people's lives for the better, without burning out or reporting to an out-of-touch board. Eventually, the fear of staying where I was outweighed my fear of starting again on my own. I knew I had to take the risk if I wanted to create the life (and work) I desired. It's a common theme among entrepreneurs and self-employed folks. You've got to be willing to step out of your comfort zone and embrace the unknown - and be willing to fail.

Now, I'm not going to sit here and tell you that every aspect of my life is perfect since making that decision. Any coach who claims that is probably trying to sell you something. But what I can say is that building this career for myself, on my own terms, is one of my proudest achievements and one of the most rewarding things I've done. And helping my clients do this for themselves is something I really pride myself on.

The thing about taking risks is that they often lead to the greatest rewards. By facing my fears head-on and pursuing my passion, I've been able to create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. And being recognised as the top life coach in Edinburgh? Well, that's just the cherry on top of an already delicious sundae.

But you know what the real reward is? It's the incredible clients I get to work with every week. I'm so grateful for the privilege of connecting authentically with each and every one of them, holding space for their stories, and exploring what meaning and freedom looks like in their unique lives. From there we start to apply some hacks and insights from the latest research in the world of neurobiology and the results continue to be very satisfying! For me and my clients. Seeing the magic that unfolds as they take courageous steps forward – that's what it's all about for me.

So, while I may joke about the Quality Business Awards and their clever business model, I truly am thankful for the recognition. It's a testament to the hard work and dedication I've poured into this journey, and to the amazing people who have been a part of it along the way.

Here's to continuing to evolve, breathe easier in our own skin, and embrace new chapters ahead! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to everyone who has supported me and believed in me. I'm deeply proud of the work we've done together, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
