Alice began her career in business aged 19, having rebelled against the normal routes to success dropping out of university in exchange for a practical education. Since then she has spent 10 years in the business world, first creating and managing national-scale events with as many as 10,000 guests, and breaking the record for Scotland’s largest ever sit-down dinner event, and moving on to found Social Bite.
Over the last 8 years Alice and her team have grown Social Bite from nothing to Scotland’s most exciting nationwide social enterprise during which time Alice has gained experience managing a team of over 100 people; implementing systems and procedures from the ground up; creating meaningful and lasting change to the Scottish homelessness system; attracting A-list celebrity visitors; running nationwide fundraising programmes and speaking at over 100 business events throughout the UK. Alice’s other achievements include:
How often do we spend time doing structured, daringly honest and meaningful work on ourselves to become the most fulfilled and effective people we can be?
Alice’s decision to leave Social Bite, and begin offering coaching and mentoring to others venturing out on their own path, comes from her most recent work within the organisation on her own fundraising project, Wee Sleep Out. Having discovered how empowering her experience and advice is to Scotland’s young people, Alice has re-fallen in love with the concept of people shaking up the business world with creative ideas and strong ethics, just as she began doing over a decade ago.
Having been lucky enough to have received coaching from a world-class business and life coach, Sarah Lock, for the last 2 years Alice has seen the way that she works and her quality of life transform and is passionate about supporting others using this powerful tool.
